Zcash spot volume as a percentage of the total all-coin trading volume on the same exchanges — i.e. how much of the market’s activity ZEC represents. Daily/Weekly/Monthly and Major/All cuts. Only the fully-covered date range is shown so the ratio is never distorted by missing data. Source: each exchange’s own ZEC candles, divided by that exchange’s all-coin volume from CoinGecko.
Every number here comes from an exchange describing its own activity. Unlike anything derived from the chain, none of it is verifiable, and the incentive to overstate is well documented across the industry. Read the shape and the order of magnitude; do not read a twenty-percent difference between two venues as real.
Spot, not derivatives. The perp volume chart is a different market with its own reporting, and the two are not additive.
A ratio moves when either side does. Zcash's share can rise because ZEC volume grew or because the rest of the market shrank, and on a broad risk-off day the second is more likely. Check it against the absolute volume before reading a rise as interest in Zcash.
Only the fully-covered date range is drawn. A venue that joined the dataset later would otherwise make the whole market look like it grew on the day our coverage did.
