Zcash Daily Emission + Inflation Rate

Bottom: daily ZEC emission from coinbase rewards (exact, from actual block data). Top: annualized inflation rate computed as (daily_emission * 365) / total_supply. The emission decreases at each halving. Note: the spike on Nov 24, 2025 is the Network Upgrade 6.1 (NU6.1) activation, which distributed ~78,750 ZEC from the lockbox in a single coinbase transaction — a one-time network upgrade event, not regular emission.

Emission / Day was 1,515 ZEC on 2026-09-27, the last full day of data. That is 1.2% lower than 28 days ago, when it was 1,532 ZEC.

What does Zcash inflation tell you?

The rate here is annualised from today's emission: what this year would add to supply if issuance continued at its current pace. It is not a forecast — the next halving cuts it roughly in half overnight, and the rate then decays as the denominator grows.

Emission is exact. It comes from actual coinbase outputs in real blocks, not from a schedule. So the series already reflects every real-world deviation: variable block times, and since Network Upgrade 6 (NU6) the portion held back in the lockbox rather than paid to miners.

Falling inflation is arithmetic rather than news: a fixed reward against a growing supply declines whether or not anything happens. The parts worth watching are the steps, which are halvings, and any divergence between issuance and what reaches miners.
